AARP OFFERS DRIVERS SAFETY CLASS: The AARP Drivers Safety Class will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bazetta Township Police Department, 2671 McCleary Jacoby Road, Cortland.
AARP charges $12 for members and $14 for non-members for the class.
The class is directed toward drivers 50 and older but welcomes drivers of all ages. There are no tests at the end of the class.

The SCOPE Senior Center is seeking volunteers to help seniors in the area make lap robes and walker caddies for the Shepherd of the Valley nursing home. No sewing ability is needed, just a desire to learn. The group meets at 1 p.m. every Monday.
Another area of need is the chorus. The chorus sings at Briarfield at the Ridge once a month to entertain the residents. They also perform at the center and whenever needed in the Niles community. The chorus meets at 1 p.m. every Friday.
