ST. JOSEPH RETIREES MEET: St. Joseph Hospital retirees will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Wayside restaurant in Champion. Retirees are asked to bring a white elephant item for the auction and a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Warren Family Mission.

TRUMBULL SENIORS SALUTE AMERICA: The Trumbull Senior Production Company, dancers, singers and performers, 50 and older, will perform Salute to America between 2 and 3 p.m. July 3 at the Eastwood Mall in the Center Court with songs like "Anchors Away," "You're A Grand Old Flag," "God Bless the USA" and more.

PARK VISTA PRESENTS PRESIDENTS: Park Vista of Youngstown is offering Lifelong Learning Series "History Intensives."

"Six Interesting Presidents of the Twentieth Century and their Significance Today," an in-depth look at six presidents and the impact they have had will be at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday in the Park Vista Gathering Room, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. "Assassinations, Attempted Assassinations and their Significance in History" will be at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday. Course explores the motives of the assassins, discusses the long-term implications and looks at the assassins' profiles and what might have happened if the assassinated had lived. AUTUMN HILLS CARE CENTER SERIES SET: Autumn Hills Care Center is offering a free Rockin' The Lawn summer concert series to be held 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday and July 10 and 17. Attendees should bring blankets or lawn chairs.

AARP OFFERS DRIVERS SAFETY CLASS: The AARP Drivers Safety Class will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bazetta Township Police Department, 2671 McCleary Jacoby Road, Cortland.

AARP charges $12 for members and $14 for non-members for the class.

The class is directed toward drivers 50 and older but welcomes drivers of all ages. There are no tests at the end of the class.

FREE LUNCHES OFFERED: Ward Center Presbyterian Church, 490 Lucy St., Masury, will serve free lunches for those 60 and older from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the third and fourth Wednesdays of each month.

NUTRITION PROGRAM: The Trumbull County Nutrition Program for the Elderly is provided by the Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs and operates nutrition sites at 10 locations throughout Trumbull County. These sites provide a meal and the opportunity for socialization. Donations will be accepted.

Any senior citizen 60 and older and spouses of those 60 and older are welcome for lunch at any of the following sites:

GUARDIANSHIP PROGRAM LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS: The Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer guardianship program of the Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. The next meeting is at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at Perkins Family Restaurant, 1953 Niles Cortland Road S.E. The Angels reach out to people who are elderly and alone in Trumbull County by providing trained, qualified volunteers to serve as advocates. AARP DRIVER'S SAFETY IS REVIEW: Trumbull County Senior Court AARP Driver's Safety Program offers a certified instructor to provide a review of driving skills and techniques as well as strategies to help seniors adjust to physical changes that may affect their driving ability. The cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members.

Classes will be held at the following locations: Girard Multi-Generational Center, July 11, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Niles SCOPE, July 26, noon to 4 p.m.; Cortland SCOPE, Aug 11, noon to 4 p.m.; West Farmington Senior Center, Aug 23, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP TO MEET: Lake Vista of Cortland Bereavement Support Group meets from 1 to 2 or 6 to 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month in the multipurpose room of Park Place

FOWLER-VIENNA SENIOR CITIZENS: The group meets from 9:30 a.m. or later every Thursday at the Fowler Community Center to play cards and games, celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and for a 50/50 raffle and meals. Special meals are served on the fourth Thursday of the month. Cost is $3 each.

All those 55 and older are welcome. Annual dues are $12.

FARMINGTON SENIOR CENTER

The SCOPE Senior Center is seeking volunteers to help seniors in the area make lap robes and walker caddies for the Shepherd of the Valley nursing home. No sewing ability is needed, just a desire to learn. The group meets at 1 p.m. every Monday.

Another area of need is the chorus. The chorus sings at Briarfield at the Ridge once a month to entertain the residents. They also perform at the center and whenever needed in the Niles community. The chorus meets at 1 p.m. every Friday.
