Mr. and Mrs. John Surick of Newton Falls celebrated their 60th anniversary June 9, 2011.
Mr. Surick and the former Helen Kohut were married June 9, 1951.
They have three daughters, Debbie of Newton Falls, Christine of Clarksburg, W.Va., and Karen of Canfield. They also have eight grandchildren.

A veteran of the Merchant Marines and Army Air Corps during World War II, John retired from Ford Motor Co. after 40 years of service. Helen is a longtime homemaker.
They are members of St. Mary and Joseph Parish in Newton Falls.
The couple's daughters and their family are hosting a celebration today, June 19, 2011.
