Matt Pagano and Jessica Sprankle, both of Girard, were among other area recipients of scholarships awarded by the National Association of Wolves Club at a recent recognition dinner.
Pagano also received the Anthony Pizzulo Memorial Scholarship, which was presented by Andrew Pizzulo in memory of his father.
For the past 26 years, the Trumbull County Chapter of the National Association of Wolves Club has awarded $295,800 in scholarships to more than 200 high school seniors. This year the club presented $2,200 each to 10 area students. The dinner was held last month at Leo's Ristorante.

The Trumbull County Chapter of the National Association of Wolves recently honored 10 Trumbull County High School seniors at their annual dinner at Leo’s Ristorante. In addition to Pagano and Sprankle, this year's recipients are Andrew Cappuzzello of Lakeview, Marie Davison of Mathews, Emily Granger of Hubbard, Jacob Jaros of LaBrae, Daniel Miller of Joseph Badger, Anthony Rossi IV of John F. Kennedy, Sarah Scarnecchia of Niles, and Bethany Woodley of JFK.
In addition, Rossi was selected as the winner of the Pete P. Rossi Memorial Academic Achievement Award.
David Leo, scholarship chairman, said the Wolves Club is a professional organization tracing their ideals of learning, discovery and public service to the founding of ancient Rome.
