HOWLAND SCHOOL RETIREES MEET: Howland Schools Retirees will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Enzo's.
All retired school personnel, spouses/guests can attend the monthly meetings of the group, which meets the first Tuesday of every month, except July, when it will meet on July 12. Cost of the lunch, payable at the door, is $10 with a choice for three to four entrees offered.
An update will be given on the HCSF breakfast at which a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by Howland Schools retired personnel was awarded to Nikita Dhami, Howland High School graduating senior. The collection of non-perishable food and household supplies brought to the meeting will be delivered to Beatitude House, Warren. Petitions to put a referendum concerning Senate Bill 5 on the November ballot will be available to sign by those wanting to do so. SENIOR OUTREACH WELCOMES CHURCH MEMBERS: The SOC (Senior Outreach Citizens) of Champion Presbyterian Church invites and welcomes members of the Champion community and the church family to its meeting Monday in the church social hall. The topic will be titled "The Hands of Time - The Early Clock Industry in Trumbull County."
