NATIONAL MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS: May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. The Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board will sponsor a breakfast meeting to increase awareness about mental illness and addiction with the goal of reducing stigma about these issues. Two Trumbull County consumers who have struggled with mental health and addiction issues will be speakers, and Rep. Tom Letson will share his insights about the importance of supporting people who deal with these issues. Through a grant from the Raymond John Wean Foundation, the board has also created an anti-stigma campaign that has been featured this month in print ads and on billboards in Trumbull County.

This award recognizes the level of quality care, comfort and compassion offered by nurses each day.
