Jameel Jones and Charrae Herron were married during a ceremony held Jan. 1, 2011, at Greater Friendship Baptist Church in Savannah, Ga.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and Mable Herron. The groom is the son of Selma Strader.
The new Mrs. Jones is a 1998 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, received a bachelor of arts in justice studies from Kent State University in 2008, and is currently attending South University to obtain a master's in public administration. She is employed by the state of Georgia as probation officer.

Mr. Jones is also a graduate from Warren G. Harding High School in 1997. He has been serving in the United States Army for 12 years.
A reception will be held in April of 2011 in Warren to honor the couple.
