TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. William Eugene Loffer, 88, died Feb. 18, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
He was born April 8, 1922, in Sandusky, a son of Harold and Wilma Walburn Loffer.
Mr. Loffer had worked in education in the Niles School District and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Allen Salzer Loffer of Sandusky and Tampa, Fla.; his sister, Peggy Loffer Marquart of Sandusky; a daughter, Patricia Ann Everett of Sandusky; a son William Daniel Loffer of Spearfish, S.D.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister; and his former wife, Betty Christy Loffer.
