CHILI COOKOFF: Cortland SCOPE is hosting a chili cookoff at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Deadline for entry is today. Call or pick up an entry form at SCOPE, 125 N. Bank St., Cortland; 330-637-3010.

TMH RETIREE CLUB: Trumbull Memorial Hospital Retiree Club will hold a luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Buena Vista Cafe in Warren. The program will be bingo. All TMH retirees are welcome. For reservations and / or more information, call Vivian Abram at 330-759-7147.

NARFE CHAPTER 2122: National Active and Retired Federal Employees will meet Tuesday at the Eagles Nest Restaurant, 910th Air Reserve Station, Vienna. Participants will have lunch on their own at noon, and the meeting will follow. Guest speaker will be John Johnson of NARFE Chapter 341 in Canton.

All federal retirees are urged to attend, as well as all members of Chapter 2122.

TAX HELP: AARP Tax Aide will prepare taxes for people of any age who have earnings of less than $100,000 and who are not operating a business that maintains inventory or uses any financial systems other than cash accounting.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT: Lake Vista of Cortland Bereavement Support Group meets from 1 to 2 or 6 to 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month in the multipurpose room of Park Place.

FREE LUNCHES: Ward Center Presbyterian Church, 490 Lucy St., Masury, will serve free lunches for those 60 and older from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the third and fourth Wednesdays of each month.

MCDONALD SENIORS: McDonald Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

NUTRITION PROGRAM: The Trumbull County Nutrition Program for the Elderly is provided by the Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs and operates nutrition sites at 10 locations throughout Trumbull County. These sites provide a meal and the opportunity for socialization. Donations will be accepted.

Any senior citizen 60 and older and spouses of those 60 and older are welcome for lunch at any of the following sites:

Meals are served about noon at the Kinsman Fire Hall. Cost is $1.25 per meal, and the doors open at 10 a.m. Cards and bingo are played every day, and singing is on Wednesdays. FARMINGTON SENIOR CENTER

The SCOPE Senior Center is seeking volunteers to help seniors in the area make lap robes and walker caddies for the Shepherd of the Valley nursing home. No sewing ability is needed, just a desire to learn. The group meets every Monday at 1 p.m.

Another area of need is the chorus. The chorus sings at Briarfield at the Ridge once a month to entertain the residents. They also perform at the center and whenever needed in the Niles community. The chorus meets every Friday at 1 p.m.
