The Niles City School District Board of Education recently attended a meeting with Cheryl Ryan, a search consultant with the Ohio School Boards Association.

The search is being launched to find a replacement for superintendent Rocco Adduci, who is retiring after serving the district for seven years.

According to a press release issued by the OSBA, they will aid the district through the search and selection process.

Ryan facilitates superintendent and treasurer searched for school districts across the state and works with board of education in a variety of professional development endeavors.

''We look forward to working with OSBA on the search,'' said board president Marlene Rhodes.

The search process will include profile development, dissemination of a brochure through print and electronic media, aggressive recruitment, opportunity for staff and community participation, a professional pre-screening, reference checking, possible site visits and interviews.

Interested applicants should call Cheryl Ryan at 614-540-4000 for more information.

The deadline for all materials to be on file with the OSBA is April 1.
