Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Rutan of Leavittsburg were honored for their 60th anniversary at a weekend celebration which began with an Amish wedding dinner at the home of friends, Rudy and Katherine Detwiler of West Farmington.
The couple renewed their wedding vows by Pastor Loren Seibold of Worthington, followed by a luncheon at the Warren SDA Church.
Robert and the former Alice Esau were married Oct. 14, 1950, at Pastor Burrows home in Leavittsburg.

Robert is a veteran of the Korean Conflict and is retired from Warren City Schools. Alice cared for many children in her home daycare for many years.
The couple have three children, Charles (Sandy) of Howland, Gary (deceased) (Joni) of Davie, Fla., and Yvonne Shaker of Bazetta. They also have eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Robert and Alice enjoy music and gardening and are very active in the Warren SDA Church, helping those in need.
