l Park Vista will host a seminar, "Get the Most From Your Retirement Dollars," with tips from the experts on how to protect your income and estate during your retirement years. A local panel will include: James H. Sisek, president and CEO of Farmers Trust Company; Hank Bilyk, vice president of the retirement and pension division; attorney Jeffrey D. Heintz, shareholder, Manchester, Bennett, Powers and Ullman; and Debra Hagarty, gift planning director for the Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services Foundation. Time is planned for a question/answer session following the speaker's presentations.

COMMUNITY LEGAL AID, a non-profit law firm serving the civil legal needs of the low income community, along with members of the Trumbull County Bar Association will be conducting a will clinic for income eligible elderly Trumbull County residents. Attorneys will complete simple wills, power of attorney, living wills and health care power of attorney documents at no cost to the participant.

The clinic will be held 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Trumbull County One Stop, 280 N. Park Ave., Warren. Pre-registration is required by calling 800-998-9454.

THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF AGING will continue to accept submissions for its Family Caregiving Story Project until Jan. 31. Both caregivers and those who receive assistance from family members and friends are encouraged to send in their personal accounts of the challenges and triumphs that are part of caregiving relationships.

Story submissions should be about 500 words and include the author's name, location and current age. Mail stories to Ohio Department of Aging, Attn: Communications Division, 50 W. Broad St., 9th Floor, Columbus, OH 43215-3363; or e-mail to caregivingstories@ age.state.oh.us.

The TRUMBULL COUNTY NUTRITION PROGRAM FOR THE ELDERLY is provided by the Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs and operates nutrition sites at 10 locations throughout Trumbull County. These sites provide a meal and the opportunity for socialization. Donations will be accepted.

All those 55 and older are welcome. Annual dues are $12.

The SCOPE Senior Center is seeking volunteers to help seniors in the area make lap robes and walker caddies for the Shepherd of the Valley nursing home. No sewing ability is needed, just a desire to learn. The group meets every Monday at 1 p.m.

Another area of need is the chorus. The chorus sings at Briarfield at the Ridge once a month to entertain the residents. They also perform at the center and whenever needed in the Niles community. The chorus meets every Friday at 1 p.m.
