Mr. and Mrs. Ron Dearth of Champion celebrated their 50th anniversary on Jan. 7, 2011, at a family gathering held at Vernon's Cafe in Niles.
Ron Dearth and the former Lois Johnson were married Jan. 7, 1961, at North Bristol Christian Church. The Rev. David Guyer officiated.
They have two sons, Randy (Shari) of Pittsburgh and Rick (Lori) of Champion; and four grandchildren.

RON AND LOIS DEARTH
Mr. Dearth retired in 1995 from Packard Electric and is now employed by Greenwood Auto in Cortland. He sings barbershop-style music, and enjoys classic cars and flies small aircraft.
Mrs. Dearth retired in 2000 as an office nurse and is now employed by Over the Rainbow in-home nursing. She is active in the women's fellowship at Over the Rainbow, and enjoys crafts and counted cross-stitching.
They both enjoy their grandchildren and their sports, and camping.
They attend North Mar Church, and spend their winters in Sebring, Fla.
