THE FOSTER GRANDPARENT PROGRAM OF TRUMBULL COUNTY is recruiting volunteers age 55 and older to tutor, mentor, strengthen reading skills in children, assist teachers and work with adults with developmental disabilities. All volunteers are offered mileage, pre-placement training, supplemental auto insurance, supplemental accident insurance, annual recognition luncheon during National Volunteer Week, free monthly luncheon and fellowship and liability insurance. Income eligible volunteers are also offered paid vacation, sick time, personal time and a tax-free non-reporting monetary stipend.

UFCW LOCAL 880 RETIREES CLUB will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Cafe 422 in Warren. Members are asked to bring one canned food item to be donated to the St. Vincent DePaul pantry. THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF AGING is asking Ohioans of all ages to submit their stories of love and devotion to the Family Caregiving Story Project. Both caregivers and those who receive assistance from family members and friends are encouraged to send in their personal accounts of the challenges and triumphs that are part of caregiving relationships.

Carole Moore, Mahoning County coordinator for the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP), will counsel seniors on Medicare insurance options from 9 to 11 a.m. Mondays. Seniors can visit the center beforehand to sign up for no cost appointments.
