Mr. and Mrs. Richard Fowler of Champion celebrated their 50th anniversary with a celebration in their honor on Nov. 20, 2010, at Packard Park Shelter House in Warren. Friends and relatives were in attendance from Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Tennessee.
Richard Fowler and the former Carolee Beard were married Nov.24, 1960, at Second Christian Church by the Rev. John Bidwell.
Mr. Fowler retired from the Champion Township Fire Department in 2000 after 25 years as fire chief. Mrs. Fowler retired from the Champion School System in 1992, after 30 years of service. They both work part time at Champion True Value.

The couple have two children, Jeffrey of Newton Falls and Lenore Torres of Drummond, Tenn. They also have six grandchildren.
They enjoy traveling, antiquing and attending their grandchildren's activities.
