DR. WILLIAM H. LIPPY, a surgeon in the field of hearing restoration, announced the Lippy Ear Group in Warren, has posted a set of five videos covering a range of issues related to hearing aids.
Lippy is an internationally recognized expert in stapedectomy and revision surgeries for treatment of deafness. He is one of a handful of surgeons in the world who has performed thousands of stapedectomies, a surgery replacing the third tiny bone in the middle ear, the stapes bone, with a prosthesis and a tissue graft to restore hearing.
In 2008, Lippy received the award of Merit from the American Otologic Society that was founded in 1868.

l ''Heart Signs: Act in Time'' from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Red Cross training center, 8381 Market St., Boardman. The presentation fee of $12 assures each participant will have materials to take home.
l Instructor training class from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on three consecutive Thursdays, Dec. 2, 9, and 16. Candidates will learn how to become Red Cross instructors in CPR / AED and first aid as well as blood-borne pathogens / preventing disease transmission. All three sessions are required. The $195 course fee includes an instructor manual and all necessary materials.
Early paid registration enables candidates to attend any CPR/AED and first aid community class for free in preparation for instructor training.

The WARREN CITY HEALTH DEPARTMENT has influenza vaccine available for children ages 6 months to 18 years of age. The vaccine will be given at regular childhood clinics on Monday and Dec. 20. The walk-in clinic hours are from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. The cost is $5. Unison and CareSource are also accepted. Parents should accompany children and bring their shot record.
Adult influenza vaccine is also available by appointment. Cost of the vaccine is $20. Pneumonia vaccine is also available free of charge to those who qualify.
