HOWLAND SCHOOLS RETIREES will meet at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 7 for the Christmas luncheon at Enzo's.
The Howland High School Choir program of holiday music will be at 10:45 a.m. Lunch orders will be taken after the choir is finished. Lunch, payable when orders are taken, is $10 with a choice of three to four entrees.
Those attending are asked to bring donations of nonperishable food, new winter gloves / hats and school supplies, which will go to Beatitude House in December. Last month's collection, a carload of Thanksgiving food items, was delivered to Emmanuel Center, Girard, by Linda DeToro.

HARDING JUNE '49 grads and guests will meet at 1 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Red Lobster, Youngstown Road.
St. Joseph Health Center's volunteer department is sponsoring a program of information, enlightenment and fun for those 55 years and older at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 14 in the hospital's second floor classrooms. The meeting will be a Christmas party for entertainment, games, dinner and door prizes. Cost of the program is $4, which includes dinner and door prizes.

GM LORDSTOWN SALARIED RETIREES CLUB next dinner meeting will be Dec. 8 at the Fifth Season Banquet Hall on state Route 46 in Mineral Ridge. The AUSTINTOWN SENIOR CENTER, 100 West-chester Drive, will offer several new activities and services starting in December.
Celtic Healthcare will provide free blood pressure checks from 10 a.m. to noon Mondays at the center.
Yoga, line dance and walking exercise classes are now forming. Seniors can sign up for these and other activities at center.
The half-hour TV show "Senior Focus," broadcast on Austintown Community Television Channel 19 and Armstrong Cable Channel 20, is now taping at the center. Seniors are welcome to join the audience. Upcoming guests include Carol Moore and Kristen Taylor today at noon. They will discuss Medicare open enrollment and senior insurance issues.
On Dec. 3, also at noon, Dorothy Barto will talk about Alzheimer's disease and local support groups and resources available to help.
HOME INSTEAD SENIOR CARE is teaming up with nonprofit agencies and area retailers to sponsor Be a Santa to a Senior - a program that collects, wraps and delivers gifts to lonely and needy seniors in the Youngstown/Boardman area. The program runs through Dec. 6.
Upcoming dates include Dec. 9, community gift-wrapping party, to which the general public is invited to help; and Dec. 13 to 17, delivery of gifts to seniors in the community.
McDONALD SENIOR CITIZENS will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday with a Christmas trivia game at Woodland United Methodist Church off Ohio Avenue.
