The Women's Auxiliary of Trumbull Memorial Hospital have compiled the "TASTES FOR ALL SEASONS COOKBOOK." Past and present auxiliary members contributed more than 600 recipes. The books are on sale for $20 at the TMH Hospital Gift Shop and proceeds will benefit local charitable causes and nursing scholarships. Chairman of this project was Suzanne Baker. The auxiliary will present "Taste of the Season" from 6 to 7 p.m. Nov. 17, on the Trumbull Memorial Hospital Bridge. A WELL-CHILD IMMUNIZATION CLINIC will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Girard Health Department in the city building, 100 W. Main St., Girard. A $5 administrative fee will be charged per child. AREA AGENCY ON AGING 11 INC. will help people navigate through choosing a Part D plan and/or Medicare health plan for next year. The free Medicare Check-Up Day will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. N.W. in Warren.
AAA11 is a non-profit agency and this is a non-biased assessment for people choosing a plan or considering switching plans. AAA11 staff also will discuss extra help with prescription drugs and other benefits for which older adults may qualify.
Participants are required to bring their Medicare card and a complete list of prescriptions and dosage.
This program at the library is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required.

The Greater East Ohio Area Chapter's Community Council, a group of professionals in the local community who have joined forces to increase awareness of Alzheimer's disease and provide effective support and knowledge to individuals diagnosed with dementia and their caregivers, is presenting a free education program.

The worksite wellness program, 'THE NEXT STEP IN CHANGING THE COURSE OF CHRONIC DISEASE" will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Nov. 17, at Leo's Restaurante, 7042 E. Market St., Warren.
The program is for employers, human resource personnel, worksite wellness teams, nurses, dieticians, health educators and health care providers.
Data shows that healthier employees are more productive employees. Also, healthy employees use less medical services and are able to contribute and focus better than those who have poor health habits.
The program is being presented by the American Cancer Society, the Eastern Ohio Area Health Education Center and the Trumbull County Health Department.
