Elias and Johanne Vujovich of Southington celebrated their 50th anniversary on Oct. 9, 2010, at a restaurant in Kent with a dinner party comprised of relatives, friends and neighbors.
The event was put together by their daughter, Lisa from Charlottesville, Va., and their son, John, with assistance by his new wife, Heather, of Olympia, Wash.
Elias "Eli" and Johanne were married on Oct. 8, 1960, in Akron. They moved to the Warren / Youngstown area in 1961 before settling in Southington in 1971.
Both of them retired in 1994, he as a technician from the Akron office of First Energy and she as an registered nurse from St. Joseph Riverside Hospital.
They have two grandchildren.
