NILES - The 13th annual Niles McKinley Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame dinner will be held at 5 p.m. Oct. 10 at Ciminero's Banquet Centre, 123 Main St.
This year's class includes: Adrian Biviano, Kathleen Bowen, State Rep. Sandra Harwood, Honorable Daniel Hogan, Stephen Sava and honorary inductee Coach Robert Shaw.
The honorees will be introduced at the Oct. 8 football game pre-game show. The formal induction will be Oct. 10. The dinner is at 5:30 p.m.
Cost for the dinner is $25 with reservations needed by calling Joyce Mahan at 330-652-0870.
For those wanting to nominate someone for the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame for 2011, the nominee must have graduated at least 10 years ago, achieved success in their career and have made significant contributions in their field and their community. Forms are available at board education offices with a deadline of July 1.

Bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration, YSU; CPA, certified governmental financial manager; accredited business adviser; Trumbull County auditor since 2005; former chief deputy auditor, Trumbull County; former Auditor-State Auditor's Office of Ohio; 32 years; adjunct faculty in accounting and management KSU (current) YSU, Penn State; Distinguished County Auditor's Award; former treasurer of Trumbull County Democratic Party; member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church finance committee. Married 32 years to Susan, two children and two grandchildren.
l Kathleen "Kadie" Bowen, (Class of 1966). Manager of payroll administration-RMI Titanium Co. for 35 years, retired; Niles McKinley Key Club adviser for 10 years; governor of Ohio District Kiwanis Award; Niles Kiwanian of the Year 2006, 2008; Community Star-Warren Tribune; president - Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary; Friends of the Library; vice president - First Choice Community Credit Union; secretary - Niles Community Improvement Council; trustee - Scrapper Backers; board member for numerous civic groups.
l Sandra S. Harwood, (Class of 1968)bachelor's degree from KSU, J.D. Akron School of Law; State Representative Ohio House of Representatives, 2003-present; chairwoman, the House of Rep. Judiciary Committee. Other current committees: Aging and disability services, civil and commercial law, insurance, the Joint Committee on Agency Rule review; Ohio State Director, the National Foundation for Women Legislators; past president, Ohio Family Support Association; numerous awards recognizing leadership and advocacy: Breast Cancer Hero Award, Ohio Breast Cancer Coalition, Legislator of the Year, Ohio Child Support Director Assoc. 2006. Married to Tom and has a blended family of five children and six grandchildren
l Daniel T. Hogan (Class of 1970). Bachelor's degree, 1974 Villanova; J.D. Capital University Law School, 1978. In Columbus, 1978-1980 assistant city prosecutor; 1980-1996 assistant prosecuting attorney; judge, Franklin County Common Pleas Court, Columbus, 1997 to present; 1995 Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys' Assoc. Special Recognition for exemplary work on the Lucasville Prison riot cases; Franklin County Trial Lawyers Assoc. Award for Judicial Excellence, 2005. Married 25 years to Gail with three children.
l Stephen Sava, (Class of 1973) bachelor's degree in business administration from Youngstown State; founder / CEO PTNE Telecommunications; Samsung Telecommunications of America Advisory Board; past president of Niles Area Jaycees; committee member of Niles Sesquicentennial; founding board of the Camelot Center; Youngstown / Warren Chamber of Commerce; past board member, Junior Achievement; youth activities volunteer for sports and scouting; commissioner - Trumbull County MetroParks. Married to Mary DeToro with four sons.
l Coach Robert (Bob) Shaw (1949 graduate of Clarion, Pa. High School) lieutenant, U.S. Navy; bachelor's and master's degrees in education; captain of the undefeated Clarion State football team in 1952. In 1990, inducted into the Clarion University Hall of Fame and named to All-Time Football Team. Served 14 years Ohio high school football coach, math teacher, seven years as assistant football coach in Niles; Ohio state champs in 1961 and 1963. Six years as head coach in Niles, undefeated in 1966. Headed the fundraising drive for enlarging and lighting Bo Rein Stadium. Married to Ann 54 years with five children, 10 grandchildren, one great-grandson.
