THE WHETSTONE FAMILY 19th ANNIVERSARY REUNION is being held today at the Big Pavilion in Wadell Park, Niles. The event will begin at noon. There will be food, games, Chinese auction, karaoke, a 50/50 raffle and fun for all ages.

STRUTHERS HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1956 will meet for breakfast Aug. 14 at Bedford Trails Restaurant in Coitsville.

Classmates are also invited to a get-together for old friends and meet with a surprise guest from out-of-town at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Elmton in Struthers.

The Reunion Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at the home of Pat Sabol in Struthers. All committee members are urged to attend and help plan the 55th reunion to be held July 16, 2011, at the Brownstone Court in Coitsville.

WARREN G. HARDING HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1969 will hold its monthly gathering at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Cafe 422, Warren.

Residents of the PARKWOOD NEIGHBORHOOD OF GIRARD are invited to attend a reunion being held from 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 15 at Kuzman's Bar, 1025 S. State St., Girard. Admission is $5, and picnic food will be served. Participants are asked to bring a family story or recipe to contribute to an upcoming book on the neighborhood.

WARREN G. HARDING HIGH SCHOOL JUNE CLASS OF 1953 will hold its annual picnic Aug. 18 in Perkins Park,Warren. Arrive anytime after 11 a.m. at a pavilion that is reserved by the Amphitheater. Guests are welcome. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Walt Bogden at 330-856-3662.

WARREN G. HARDING HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1960 REUNION will be Aug. 20 and 21 at the Trumbull Country Club in Warren. Reservations are past due, except for any teachers from 1958 through 1960 who would like to attend may contact Janet Hilb Vogt at 330-856-3477 before Tuesday. No reservations are made without accompanied payment.

BROOKFIELD HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1965 will hold its class reunion from 4 to 10 p.m. Aug. 21 at The Youngstown University Club, located north of Yankee Lake. The event is bring-your-own-beverage.

JOHN F. KENNEDY HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1968 will hold its annual get-together at 7 p.m. Aug. 28 at Quinlan's Irish Eatery and Pub.

THE 24th ANNUAL A&P REUNION will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Main St. Cafe, 368 N. Main St., Hubbard. Cost is $15 per person.

THE 111th ANNUAL FARMINGTON ALUMNI BANQUET was held June 12 at Roby Lee's Restaurant in Newton Falls with 97 alumni and friends present. The classes honored this year were 60 years, 50 years, and 25 years.

Officers elected for 2011 are: Carol Jean Cross Goddard, president; Sarah Rennolds Pozzuto, vice president; Jean Shepherd Williams, secretary; and Ann Gates Hillier, treasurer. Next year's banquet will be held April 16, 2011 (note change of month) at Roby Lee's Restaurant in Newton Falls.

Honor classes will be 1951, 1961 and 1986.

Honor Class of 1950, 60 years: Jane Anne Dalton Latimer; Robert Hickox; Beverly Hyden Stewart.

Honor Class of 1960, 50 years: Kenneth Klouda; Lesta Shepherd, Lynch Clark; Ronald Abramovich, Patricia Monroe Buncy and Edward Rowland.

Honor Class of 1985, 25 years: Terri Svoboda Ackeret; Jayme Richards Morgan; Dianne Hites Cotrill; Scott Mullenax; Scott Whited; Thomas Sole; Nicholas Tolla; and Kevin Bontrager.
