HOWLAND HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1955 is inviting friends of the class to join them for a reunion weekend Sept. 10 through 12.
Classmates and friends will gather at The Chop House on Avalon Golf Course grounds for a "Meet and Greet" event on Sept.10. A cash bar, appetizers or dinner will be available beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday's events will begin with golf or an optional tour of the Butler Institute of Art at 10:30 a.m. A traditional visit to the Hot Dog Shoppe in Warren is on the agenda followed by the big event at 6:30 p.m. at Avalon's Grand Pavilion. The cash bar will be followed by a class photo taken by photographer Bob Jadloski. A buffet dinner, program and dancing to the music of DJ Gary Pressell will round up the evening.
Sunday starts off with a breakfast, hosted by Janice Clark Wagner and husband, Sam, at their home. The celebration will move to the Howland Township Park, Shelter 2, at 12:30 p.m.
Several people who graduated ahead or later have expressed an interest in attending all or part of the reunion events. Classmates who may not have completed all four years are welcome, as well as students who may have transferred to another school.
