Bishop George Murry will celebrate a special Mass at 2 p.m. today, June 27, at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown to mark the wedding anniversaries of 166 couples who are being honored for a total 7,965 years of wedded life ranging from 25 to 71 years.
Anthony and Mary Centofanti, parishioners of St. Paul Parish in Salem, are the longest-married couple, celebrating 71 years of marriage.
Other couples celebrating will be 61 couples married 51 to 66 years; 47 couples married 50 years; 36 couples will observe 40 years; and 21 couples will mark 25 years.
Nancy L. Yuhasz, chancellor, said the wedding anniversary celebration includes renewal of marriage vows at Mass, and a personalized certificate. A reception will be held for the honored couples and their families following the Mass in the Cathedral Hall.
Wedding anniversary couples include 90 couples from Mahoning County and 49 from Trumbull County.
