This event was held on June 4 and 5. An income goal of $72,000 for this particular Relay was set in late 2009. Thus far, more than $93,000 has been raised to help save lives from cancer.

Also, special thanks to the 26 teams who helped by holding a variety of fundraisers that largely contributed to surpassing the income goal.

Additional donations are accepted until Aug. 31, which is the last day of the society's fiscal year. To make a donation, call Francesca Kostek at 888-227-6446, Ext. 2214 or visit www.cancer.org/austintown .

Each woman gets a free makeup kit valued between $250 and $300 to use during and after the workshop.

All cosmetology volunteers who lead the program attend a four-hour certification class to become a Look Good Feel Better facilitator.

Enrollment for each class is limited, and reservations must be made. For more information, or to find out when the next session is held in the area, call the American Cancer Society toll free at 888-227-6446.
