HUBBARD -The Trumbull County Commissioners, along with the Trumbull-Geauga Solid Waste District, helped children from Hubbard with their recycling campaign in April.
The Hubbard children got involved with a recycling effort that raised money for various beneficial projects throughout the community.
David Laird, one of the coordinators, said the children collected cans and plastic bottles at different locations. Members of the community helped with the effort by utilizing the recycling bins.

Bob Villers of the Trumbull-Geauga Solid Waste District said that aluminum is bringing about 50 cents per pound. Villers also indicated that Hubbard is one of the leading recycling communities in Trumbull County.
The Trumbull County Commissioners teamed up with the Solid Waste District to create multiple community projects such as the one in Hubbard. The Solid Waste District and the Commissioners presented the children with a recycling bin and a can crusher. Hubbard Law Director Jeff Adler sponsored the shirts that the children were wearing in the photograph.
