The Hubbard Exempted Village School District has announced the 2009-2010 program policy for free and reduced-priced meals under the National School Lunch Program.
Local school officials have adopted the following income eligibility scale for free or reduced-priced meals. Kindergarten children also may be eligible for free milk if they meet the income eligibility.
Meals are free of charge to two-member households with an annual income of $18,941 or less; three-members with incomes of $23,803; four-members with incomes of $28,665; five-members with incomes of $33,527; six-members with incomes of 38,389; seven-members with incomes of $43,251 and eight-members with incomes of $48,113. For each additional family member, add $4,862 to the annual income to determine eligibility.
Meals are reduced-priced for households with two members with annual incomes of $20,036; three-members with incomes of $26,955; four-members with incomes of $40,793; five-members with incomes of $47,712; six-members with incomes of $54,631; seven-members with incomes of $61,550; and eight members with incomes of $68,469. For each additional family member, add $6,919 to the annual income to determine eligibility.
Application forms will be distributed to all homes in a letter to parents or guardians at the beginning of the school year. Extra forms may be obtained in each school office. Households may apply for benefits anytime during the school year.
New applications may be filed when changes occur within the household.
