The Liberty Historical Society will be holding its annual Picnic in the Park at 4 p.m. Aug. 6 at Churchill Park.
The picnic is open to all Historical Society members and anyone else wishing to join the organization.
Beverages and hot dogs will be served, and members are asked to bring a covered dish and their own place settings.
The society will be taking a bus trip to the Meadows in Pittsburgh Oct. 8. The cost is $25 with $15 to be returned in casino play. The trip is open to all. For more information or to register, call 330-539-6326 or 330-539-6591.
The Liberty Historical Society hosts regular meetings the first Thursday of each month at the township administration building. Meetings begin at 10 a.m. with doughnuts and coffee being served. Township Administrator Pat Ungaro and Trustee Jodi Stoyak are usually there to update everyone and take questions. The public is invited to attend.
