The Ohio Department of Transportation held an open house July 23 at the Township Administration Building to discuss separate projects on Interstate 80 running through Liberty and Girard.
ODOT is planning on extending an entrance ramp on I-80 in Liberty, as well as fixing five bridges in Liberty and Girard, a news release from ODOT said.
The projects are slated for construction in June of 2010.
Plans for construction include closing Mosier Road in Liberty for 90 days, and the westbound ramp from state Route 190 to the interstate will be shut down for about six months, the release said.
Paula Putnam, Public Information Officer for ODOT District 4, said the project has a price tag of $20 million and will be the largest project in the district next year.
Details of the open house were not available prior press time.
