The Weathersfield Township trustees accepted a bid from RT Vernal Paving for five summer paving projects at their regular meeting held July 14.
Projects will include 10 sections on the township side of County Line Road from state Route 46 to Four Mile Run Road; St. Mary's Drive and Sablecreek Drive; Gardenland, from Tibbetts Wick to Bianca; Harmon Avenue; and Glenwood Avenue. The low bid for the project was $106,356.
In other business, trustees approved a request for a six-month leave of absence for firefighter Mike OConnell and the resignation of firefighter Brian Penick.
They also set up an agreement with Seven Seventeen Credit Union to help with employees' direct deposits and Health Savings Accounts. Currently the township matches employee contributions of up to the allowed $75 per month for health savings accounts.
Trustees will hold a caucus at 10 a.m. July 30. The next township meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 11.
