The Howland Youth Sport and Recreation Program has been offering activities for children ages 6 to 13 throughout the summer.
The camp is made possible by the township trustees and Center for Sport and Recreation Development at Kent State University.
Each camp is offered for one week from 9 a.m. to noon Monday to Friday. The schedule includes painting, drawing and basketball, which was held last month, along with wrestling, bowling and track and field. During the month of July, tennis for kids ages 6 to 9 and golf for ages 10 to 13 are being held July 13 to 17. Football and cheerleading is scheduled July 20 to 24; volleyball and soccer, July 27 to 31; and outdoor adventure, Aug. 3 to 7.
Township resident fee is $20 and the non-resident fee of $35. T-shirts for each program are available.
