Demand for the Howland Farmers Market, held each summer at the gazebo on East Market Street, has prompted township officials to host the event on a weekly basis this summer.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday from July 18 through Oct. 17, local produce, artisan cheese, baked breads, fresh herbs, cut flowers and other offerings will be available. Shopping the market will support local businesses and benefit the environment by reducing the miles that food travels, administrators said.
Vendors offering farm-fresh products such as fruits, vegetables, cheeses, eggs, meats, honey and maple syrup can call 330-856-5223 or visit www.howlandtownship.org.
