BE CREATIVE
The summer reading program for kids, Be Creative @ the McKinley Memorial Library, is held at 2 p.m. each Wednesday until July 22. Today's program features the Reader's Theatre featuring The Three Bears. Children need to come with an adult to the McKinley Memorial Auditorium to enjoy this creative program.
SUMMER ANIME
During July the Teen Anime Club will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday in the auditorium. Come get out the heat, while talking to other fans of anime films. To join, contact Scott at 330-652-1704, Ext. 214.
THE MUSIC IS HERE!
Guys Without Ties will be performing for the 2009 Summer Lawn Concert from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday on the front lawn of the memorial, or inside if the weather is inclement. Bring a chair or blanket to relax and listen to the concert, which is sponsored by Farmers National Bank, the Friends of the McKinley Memorial Library and Museum, and McKinley Memorial Library.
EXPRESS YOURSELF
All area teens ages 12 to 17 are invited to join us for fun-filled activities, D-I-Y projects, and games with an emphasis on the theme of self-expression. The Teen Summer Reading program will feature Gaming Day at 2 p.m. in the auditorium. For information, contact the childrens room at the library.
STORYTIME PROGRAM
Register your infant to 5 year old child to participate in the Storytime programs from 2 to 2:45 p.m. each Tuesday through July 21 in the auditorium. Programs include stories, songs, fingerplays, and activities based on the summer's theme of "Be Creative @ Your Library!"
COMPUTER CLASSES
The McKinley Memorial Library offers the following free computer classes in the computer lab at the McKinley Birthplace Home and Research Center:
Basic Computers will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. July 21.
Beginning Internet will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. July 14.
Introduction to E-mail will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. July 28.
All classes are free; however, seating is limited and classes fill quickly. To register, call the reference desk at 330-652-1704, Ext. 212.
To register for a class, you must have a valid library card from the McKinley Memorial Library or any of the other TiPL library system members. If, after you sign up, you cannot attend, contact the library before the class or you may be restricted from registering for future classes.
