Students design roller coasters

Imani Cash, 13, Holly Clark, 13, and Justine Kagy, 13, all seventh graders at Girard Junior High, work on their rollercoaster, ‘‘Just Cash Clock,’’ during a science project that involved constructing a roller coaster. The science lesson in Jennifer Nicholas’ class was on kinetic and potential energy. Some of the roller coasters were named ‘‘The Indian,’’ ‘‘Pink Falls’’ and ‘‘Candyland.’’
