GIRARD For those who like to draw or paint or to make floral arrangements, spring and summer art enrichment classes for adults and children will be offered at the London House Center for Fine Arts, 202 S. State St.

Jan Luoma, owner of London House, said the classes will be held at the studio for children and adults and include painting, drawing and making cards.

Gail Hanes, an instructor, goes to different sites to work with adults with floral designing and has taught classes at the Newton Falls senior center. Hanes said many seniors enjoy being creative.

Luoma said while many centers concentrate in exercise programs, which are important, they also need to focus on seniors being creative with their hands.

She said children will enjoy card designing and gift wrapping utilizing stenciling and painting and different arts.

''Children want to draw and paint. They don't have the patience level for flower arranging," Luoma said.

Luoma said nature will be the theme of the program. "We will concentrate on nature with trees, flowers, birds and butterflies we can use in artwork," Luoma said.

Studio time will be available starting in June with appointments. For information about studio classes for ages 6 through adult, call 330-502-1770.
