Children Services features YSU speaker

Trumbull County Children Services is marking BLACK HISTORY MONTH with the agency's Cultural Diversity Committee organizing a special event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. The featured speaker/facilitator is Dr. Cryshanna Jackson from Youngstown State University. ''Civil Rights Legislation and the Promise of Social Equity'' is the topic. The public is welcome.

The Mahoning Valley Audubon Society will meet 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the MetroParks Farm in Canfield. The topic is OWL PELLETS with discussion on owls' hunting practices, their digestion process and their role in nature. An owl pellet will be dissected to learn more about what they eat. The program will be held at 7 p.m.

Rene's Closet will hold a FREE CLOTHING GIVEAWAY from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at St. William Parish Office, 5411 Mahoning Ave., Champion. For more information, contact Debi at 330-885-0885.

The Burton-Middlefield Rotary will hold the 57th annual PANCAKE TOWN USA from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Sunday starting March 1 at the Berkshire High School, 14519 B, Cheshire St., Burton.
