WARREN G. HARDING HIGH SCHOOL JUNE 1949 graduates and guests annual picnic is on Thursday at Cortland Conservation Club. Meet at the parking lot at noon and bring a covered dish. The regular August luncheon is cancelled.
WARREN G. HARDING HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1963 gathered for dinner earlier this month, to discuss final plans for the 45th class reunion.
Activities will begin on Sept. 5, with a golf outing at Trumbull Country Club. Golfers will tee-off at 10 a.m. A pre-party celebration will take place on Friday evening at the Sunrise Inn restaurant on East Market Street.
Classmates will gather at Harding High School at 10 a.m. Sept 6 for a tour of the school and other local sites. The evening event will be at Avalon Inn. A social hour will begin at 6 p.m. followed by dinner, entertainment and dancing. A Sunday brunch, on Sept. 7, will take place at the Butler Institute of American Art - Trumbull Branch at noon.

CURTIS AND EDNA HARNETT FAMILY DESCENDANTS gathered earlier this month at Buhl Park, Sharon, Pa., for a 50th family reunion. There were 150 family members in attendance. Mary Powell, president, conducted the business meeting.
Volunteers for 2009 reunion committee are Cindy Painter, chairwoman; Joyce Chess, Lisa Sernik and Melissa Ustik.
A Christmas party will be held at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at the home of David and Shayne Harnett of Kinsman. Sherry Rose and Ron Crissman will assist.
Ernest and Mabel Streator of Warren, were the oldest man and woman present. Youngest was Bridget Rigby (three weeks), of Lyndhurst. Traveling the farthest was Leo and Janet Neville, from Ocala, Fla. Eight new births were recorded and one death, Edward Harnett.
Rodney Harnett Jr., was winner of a wall hanging of the Curtis and Edna Harnet family, made by Pauline Harnett. Winners of the corn hole tournament were Brad Rigby and Aaron Rae.
Family members traveled from Florida, Illinois, Ohio, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
