Flora was born June 21, 1933, in New Cumberland, W.Va., the daughter of Jordan and Flora Lambert Parker, and came to this area as a teen.
Flora was a member of the Family Life Center Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Niles, where she had been a Sunday school teacher.
One of Flora’s joys in life was baking pies.
She retired in 1995 from the Warren Public Library, where she had worked for 25 years.
Flora is survived by children Faith (Harold) Reese and Charles (Michele) Gifford, both from Niles; stepchildren, Jeanie (Darrell) Bellard of Girard and William (Carol) Gifford of Niles; sisters, Mabel Rakich of McDonald and Lilly Spillman of Niles; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond W. Gifford, whom she married Dec. 18, 1953, and who died Feb. 1, 1999; three sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel, where friends may call from noon until services at 1 p.m. Friday.
