A. ‘‘Roger’’ Turrell

LARGO, Fla. — A. ‘‘Roger’’ Turrell, 84, of Largo, Fla., died Monday, May 12, 2008.

Roger was born in Detroit, and moved to Largo in 1983 from Bradenton, Fla.

Roger was an accountant and co-owned Turrell & Turrell in Warren, and while in Bradenton, co-owned North Bay Harbor. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and its church council.

Roger was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a part of the second wave that landed on Normandy Beach.

He was a member of the Rotary Club of Clearwater and Lions Club of Warren.

Roger is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carol; a daughter, Wendy Turrell (Joseph) Gains of Copley; sister, Jeanne McKinley of Harborside, Maine; grandsons, Jeffrey (Debra) Bogniard of Youngstown and Jason (Michele) Bogniard of Stow; and great-grandson, Alexander Bogniard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Building Fund.

A funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the church, 455 Missouri Ave., Largo, Fla. 33770.
