He was born Nov. 18, 1917, in West Farmington, the son of Wallace and Jenny Firster Fenstermaker, and lived in Trumbull County for most of his life.
Mr. Fenstermaker had worked as a carpenter for Don Shively.
Surviving are a son, Hugh R. Fenstermaker of North Bloomfield and his wife, Marianne Dunn-Fenstermaker; a daughter, Judith C. Jewell; a grandson, David Jewell, and a granddaughter, Amy (Kevin) Munson.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Elizabeth Knight Fenstermaker, whom he married Feb. 15, 1941, and who died in November 1980; two sisters and four brothers.
