Michael was born Aug. 17, 1946, in Warren, a son of Mike and Irene Szuch Pirigyi.
He served in the Marine Corps Reserve and later retired after 37 years at RMI.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles.
He played trumpet in the Warren Junior Military Band. Michael enjoyed traveling, going to flea markets, going out to eat and watching TV. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, Tori.
Michael is survived by his mother of Niles; his wife, the former Vicky Rossi, whom he married April 27, 1968; three sons, Nick Pirigyi of Niles, David Pirigyi of Niles and Dan Pirigyi at home; and a granddaughter, Tori.
He was preceded in death by his father.
There will be a funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Niles Chapel, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to services Wednesday.
