Disaster looming if we turn our backs

September 22, 2013

DEAR EDITOR: We are now experiencing in America a subtle but continuing attempt to convince us that God is not real. It is most often not done in an open or even easily discernible way....

In the words of President Ronald Reagan, “If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be one nation gone under.”

I think if your trying to prove him a liar you should stick to important issues he says are fact. Not some idiot thing like staff numbers, I don't have time to waste looking up something so trivial. If I heard him say such a thing I probably blocked it out because it is so irrelevant to anything. Any of the big things he has said that are fact, I have not seen anything proving it wrong. I have heard him correct things when he has been wrong. Such as Van Jones title. Dumb things, as I said, little details that didn't change the fact that he is a communist. I disagree once in awhile with some of his opinions, but when it comes to facts, on anything important, he is right. I checked a lot of it in the beginning. Most he says he can back up with video, audio, or written proof. If you think the Muslim Brotherhood likes anyone that isn't Muslim, you are mistaken. Wait til the next war starts, and the terror cells that walked across our wide open border, become active.

The two examples that Morris Ray or Rae or whatever his name is on WKBN was FEMS camps and the Ag dept. lady being fired for the speech she made where she mentioned white farmers and being biased towards them. The FEMA camps I heard every show about them and they checked them out and said the scare was bogus and there wasn't such a thing. Morris claimed he was fear mongering and telling people there were camps. A flat out lie. The other, Beck was actually the only right wing type radio person not to fall for the out of context video and actually cautioned the others to wait and see the context. He actually did a skit on his show making fun of those that ran with it.Morris claimed he was first to report it and condemn the lady, flat out lie. The other, that you mentioned, maybe the Wilmington money was for roads and bridges or their police and wasn't for economic relief. Not sure, don't have the facts of that one.

Ok, so your big thing is he got some staff numbers wrong. I have seen the video of them saying that they want to destroy Israel and the 'Great Satan' U.S.A. Your heads truly in the sand if you think that isn't truth. The Muslim Brotherhood said they were scrapping the treaty with Israel as soon as they got power, but had to balk as they could not get overwhelming support from the Egyptian military. The Lincoln Memorial i'm not sure about, barely heard him mention once I think. Maybe they changed their mind? I listen to him most days, but don't remember any reference to ACA dogs. Not that it isn't possible. I also haven't ever heard him say that on citizenship. I can say on the one that you brought up that I have heard him talk about for sure, the only one that would be important, the Muslim Brotherhood, he is 100% accurate and you are wrong. I can't imagine why you would side with terrorists. Have you noticed the slaughter of Christians in Egypt?

And on and on and on . . .

The claim that the Fed Gov was about to shut down the Lincoln Memorial for gatherings. False.

Insurance for dogs in the ACA. False.

America is the only country in the world that has automatic citizenship upon birth. False.

And the list goes on . . .

OK. How about Beck's freak-out over Michelle Obama's staff? He claimed she has 43 (which was wrong -- she has 25), and the Nancy Reagan had 3 (also wrong -- she had 15).

But you NEVER hear Glenn say "Oooops! I was wrong!"

Glenn has repeated ly said the Muslim Brotherhood wants to destroy Israel, but Glenn never names a source inside the Brotherhood who says that.

And how about hi flat-out lie that Wilmongton, Ohio, turned down all Federal assistance, while, in reality, getting over $7 million in stim funds?

I know, if they are so full of crap, why don't you, right here on the comment list, prove something Beck said is wrong. I put this question to Morris Ray on WKBN and all he could come up with was 2 lies. So by all means lets hear what you got.

I plainly explained the difference between European and American politics. You try to add some philosophical crap into the conversation, while actually saying nothing. You don't even understand the difference between the European and American political systems, while saying im a no nothing. Good luck with that. Things I said can be checked out and are true.

You poor self-deluded person. You really need a guided, systematic course of study before you start pontificating about things of which you know very little, and what little you do know comes from the right-wingnut bubble.

Again, what you are spouting is right-wingnut-bubble babble. It is, chapter and verse, what the bubblers hear on Rush/Savage/Glenn on the radio all day, and on Faux 24/7.

The use of terms, for example, is Orwellian, turning meaning on it's head and doing violence to the very notions of truth and honesty.

It is manipulative agit-prop, propaganda at its worst.

What makes it so hard to respond to is that you don't even use the terms correctly, so it's like debating someone in a foreign language.

And the kicker is that you dismiss everyone else as lacking the ability to grasp what you're saying.

So typical . . .

Weird that so called babble is the truth. The National Socialists are an advanced, more sped up form of Progressive. Progressives are happy to take things slower, 'to progress' to the end, which is totalitarian dictatorship. Glenn Beck does not say they are actually Progressives. They certainly did read Progressive propaganda to get some of their ideas. This is documented fact. Both believe in Eugenics, look up the 'Complete Lives System'. It's in Obamacare, surprise.

They were opposing political parties, I was worried it would be to complicated for you to figure out, I tried to simplify it, sorry, ill try harder. In Europe around WWII, and im sure still somewhat, they opposed each other. Communism is where the state runs and owns everything, and they are happy to include other countries in it. The National Socialists like to leave a fake sense of people owning things but control all still with the same big government. They are more nationalistic in nature though, not being so nice to controlled people that aren't of their country. They opposed each other within Germany for control of the country. That is the main reason, both wanted to run the show. Here though they are still both big government leftists in America, sorry, that is fact.

You have no idea what you're talking about because all you listen to is GlennnnBeck-babble.

"The Nazis were progressive" is typical GlennBeck-gobbledy-gook.

The Nazis were PROFOUNDLY anti-Communist, for one thing; the Nazis were Fascists, promoting the corporate state.

Please go read something other than Skin-head Aryan Nation fantasy.

You don't understand basic politics. The left is communist and the right is fascist. That is European politics. American and European politics are different. In America the left is Progressive now and is for big government. The right is for small government and is Conservative. Fascists are for big government and so are Communists. In America they are both on the left. I hope that was plain enough for you to understand. So sorry, they are left wing xenophobes, they are on your side. You are wrong.

Stew's been "stewin'" in his ultra-rightwingnut agit-prop way too long, rendering him impervious to reason, logic, proportion, facts, or even a fair reading of his opposition.

Nazi's were ultra-right, if lables mean that much to you. Notice the neo-Nazis today -- aka skin-heads, Aryan Nation, etc. All ultra-rightwing zenophobes.

Sorry Stew. You just don't get it.

You read that on the Southern Poverty Law Centers web site? They are radical leftists. He holds the worlds largest collection of original Founding documents. Sorry but you are so full of crap its coming out your ears. Maybe you should pray a little more to Jesus because you are certainly the one deceived. Nazies are on the left not the right. We live in America not Europe. Right wingers believe in small government. Nazies believe in big government. Please get a clue. If you are on the left and claim to follow Jesus I think you should look a little closer in the Bible on murdering children. Don't think Jesus approves of abortion, or gay marriage, or anything else you would support.

Please let me remind you I HAVE professed my faith in JESUS CHRIST.He is my lord and savior. You are not following the teachings of CHRIST,you are following one of the many people throughout history that have used GODS word to steal, rob, kill, and control.Put Bartons books of lies down, and pick up GODS GOSPEL!I don't agree with defeats tone, but he presents many distasteful truths!Stew, you seem to worship(see cult) the FF more than GOD.You are confused, wrong and a bit delusional.Remember"many of the faithful will be decei

I didn't say banned completely. Im sure there are a few little references still if they have, as you said, 'historical or literary' significance. They sure leave a lot out though. They almost completely erased real black history from our schools. Leaving them without heroes from history to look up to and relate to. The only thing they teach is about is some horrible slave trade. They don't tell the stories that matter, like one of the heroes of Bunker Hill, or many others. Why doesn't anyone know the name of the black man on the boat crossing the Delaware with Washington? When they are taught such things, they begin to question what they are being taught. Like the 14 year old a few years ago that read Frederick Douglas, and started questioning what was going on in the schools and was punished for it.

I actually have. My children are in high school in the area and I do read their history books and such to see what these people are telling them. I have found mistakes in several books over the years. One of my kids books actually said that the Founders picked a representative republic because USA was to big to be a democracy. I make sure I correct such mistakes with my children when I find them. One text book in Texas recently was found to be rewriting the Constitution to suit their own political agenda. The education system is a joke of its former self and more money is being spent on it than ever in our history. FAIL

Far from it.

It is merely right-wing agit-prop from the right-wing bubble, aimed at discrediting American public education.

My advice to you, Stew, is to actually go to your school and see what texts are being used in social studies and English classrooms.

You might learn something you missed the first time through.

For anyone who is actually paying attention in class, the Trumbull County Board of Education approved (years ago) several textbook series that include editions containing long passages from bible, as well as the complete texts of several sermons, including, as I said before, the Jonathon Edwards sermon, "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God," which has both historical and literary significance in its status as the archetypal example of early American Puritan preaching.

In fact, I treated the Bible as an indispensable basic text, one that all Americans must be familiar with in order to be considered "literate," or "lettered," in the "culturally literate" sense.

This notiuon that God has been banished from the godless public schools, along with all vestiges of religious texts, is just plain hoooooey.

It is wrong, and people like you spread this misinformation, passing it around from one know-nothing to another as if it is established fact.
