The US government annual budget invested in "peace" such as unity and diversity training and The Peace Corps, not "peace-keeping" wars, is miniscule (<$300 million) in comparison with the US budget wasted on defence: CIA and NSA, Homeland Security, Pentagon/State Dept. (over $1 trillion).

Other nations combined spend about $1 trillion on military too and even less on peace.

Humanity invests 3000 times more money to prepare for the next round of wars than we do sewing the seeds of peace. You reap what you sew.

Maybe the American government should follow the Bollingers.

"It is impossible to simultaneously prevent and prepare for war." Einstein

I agree with this event 100%

The people of Cortland have supported this event for 5 years and we are glad that it has moved to a larger stage in the city of Warren..

We are blessed to have people like the Bollingers who put forth the time and monies to promote the concept of peace - beginning with each of us individually and extending to the nations of the world. With America taking the lead.

As stated, this is not just a one day event, it is a concept to be strived for on an ongoing basis.

You are right, Postaldog3, but peace has to begin somewhere. It began at that event yesterday. Peace begins with you; peace begins with me. Be the model of peace you want to see in this community. Thank you to the Bolingers for organizing the event. Awesome job by MANY Warren City School students: drum line, choir, football team and coaches.

Peace is not a one day event. It is something we should all make a way of life.
