WHERE ARE THEIR PERMITS> I stopped in there to buy some of the equipment and saw they had NO building permits. When I asked the KID (cause no one was over 25)where was his permits. He said "we dont need any permits".REALLY funny I thought Warren city Code says anything over $400.00. You need a Building Permit. and since it was a bar not a church, it is a change of use and per city code that requires architect Drawings because from what I saw yesterday they are removing electrical and plumbing building walls, Also Per city code a church cant be with in 1000 feet of a sana and one is across the street. Per city code it also says the work needs to be done buy a CITY licence contractor. I didnt see any contractor there. So is it safe to assume the city is turning the other way because it is a so called church. Or does someone with in the so called church have ties to a city offical. may be these reporterss need to dig into this "Church" a little bit more. somethi

NoMoreCrap please tell us what area you are concentrating your holdings in. That way WP can move there and the rest of us know where to avoid going. "Welcome to crazy island"

Worship and fellowship is just what is needed to reverse the evil that has overwhelmed that space until now. PTL

Yet again....somebody tries to bring something positive in our community and people like WP crap on them. And they wonder why nobody wants anything to do with Trumbull County.

Parking will be a problem for church use at that building. If these folks have Wednesday evening worship the Sunrise parking lot will probably get a fair amount of use from this congregation.

I am not religious at all. I have faith, but it is of my own belief. I do although, with them well. Good Luck, maybe they can make a small change.

All those downtown studies were done, and not much came out of them.

If you look around at cities that are reinventing themselves, like Kent, they are trending towards a niche market. Perhaps this Movement will look at that and develop some sort of business plan that could help people according to their beliefs, but also raise money for a cause through a foundation--whatever that endeavor is. Warren already has a Warren Mission, it has many restaurants. So what can they do to provide a service that is not being provided? Probably in the Movement's own terminology....they need to pray about it because Warren certainly could use some devine intervention:)

Who would want to own an entire block of Warren City?

I believe your comment is without merit.

Well that blows Kens plan to own the entire block unless he can find a way to blame the Church for his deteriorating Sunrise Inn.

I know one of the staff at that church. They are not reaching into wallets and getting rich.

Will the church start a soup kitchen at this location with the restaurant equipment?

Sounds like Pastor Doug Garasic is setting himself up for a Mega-Church with many campuses under the name "The Movement Church". These so called preachers are reaching into everyones' wallet in the name of God so they can lead the good lavish life style like Benny Hinn does.

Well, you know, great for the church. I know a few members of The Movement and they are fine folks.

That being said, the fact that a church was the only truly interested party willing to buy a building equipped to be a restaurant on such a busy intersection (with parking across the street even) does not in the least bit bode well for downtown warren.

Again, welcome to downtown, Movement. Sincerely. I just wish I was reading about a restaurant moving in.

But I do have a god-sized hole inside of me. Perhaps I'll stop by.... Ahem....
