I agree, we have no business in Syria's affairs, it's sad they bombed their people with chemicals and all that but its time for someone else's watch....Iran, China, Russia, other Countries that are closer to them than us by at least 2500 miles or so....Or they could just follow the rules and go back to the way things were before all this mess! What was so bad anyways? LOL

Educate yourself a little further. Syria is not a major oil exporter, so your conspiracy theory that the USA wants to cripple another Islamic government to get their oil is invalid. Look at the list of world oil exporters, both Thailand and little Taiwan exports more oil than Syria.

All this time and Syria finally owns up that they do have chemical weapons. For years they have denied having any chemical weapons at all. Who's to say if they will in fact turn over all there chemical weapons, or just the ones they have stored some where. By the time everything is approved they could move most of them, and only turn over a fraction of what they truly have. The old saying once a liar, always a liar has some merit. So why should we believe them this time, it's not the first and won't be the last time they lied to us. Seems like Russia calls the shots in the middle east, so let Russia sort it out and deal with it. For that matter let Russia deal with all of the middle east's problems. For us to get involved in middle east problems because some big business interests over there is crazy. Usually we get involved because of some big business interest's one way or another. It's time America takes care of it's own people here, and let the rest of the world feign it alone

I'm not in favor of starting another war. When the U.N. sits back and does nothing about what happened, then we should just let things take their course. I don't truly understand why we even belong to the U.N., in the first place. We should be telling the U.N. to take a hike, that we will no longer be a member. Stop all these free handouts to these foreign gov'ts, and use that money here. Those foreign gov'ts hate us and all we are doing is trying to buy their friendship from them. The only way we should get involved in another country's problems is, we get full payment of all costs for fighting their battles. Look at what happened in Iraq, the billions spent there and they gave their oil supply rights to China. Let Russia or another country over there fight Syria's battles for them. It's time we go it alone in this world today, and use all the money we spend or give away here. We can't take care of our own here, so why take care of someone that hates us.

A quick internet (google) search shows the Syria produces nor exports any oil or oil products. So where do you the information that Syria is a MAJOR OIL Producer Rezistanceisfutile? Syria is a craphole and always has been a craphole and never will be anything but a craphole.

Syria is a major oil producer Fireball,I'm not sure where you got that idea. They are also standing in the way of a Saudi/Qatari natural gas pipeline to Europe. Thats why he has to go, because the Saudis OWN our govt! We got rid of saddam for them and Gadhaffi. Every foreign conflict we engage in benefits us in some way, they couldn't care less about massacres, if they did we would be in Rwanda, N Korea etc. There is no strategic importance or wealth for us to steal so we turn a blind eye.

the problems that the U.S. is having, i.e., the recession, foreign policy ect., stems from the fact that we don't have enough pot-heads running our government.

There are bigger decisions ahead than what to do about Syria. Let's remember where isolationism left us before WWII though. The American people thought we should stay out of Europe and let Hitler's neighbors deal with him. By the time Hitler invaded Holland we had the 17th largest armed force in the world.

Bobby, although I agree that the rest of the world should just continue to isolate Syria of its resources, and refrain from any act of war, your rambling left me wondering about your education. Knowing you are educated makes me wonder how you could ramble on. Syria is nothing more than a dried up sheethole anyway. I do have concern that if the rest of the world doesn't want to make this monster accountable, then the USofA needs stay away from it all together. Like Iraq and Afghanistan, the rest of the world didn't hold up to the agreed upon terms of going to war there. So let those that are closest to these monsters worry about the future uses of these chemical monsters. We all would hate to see another Holocaust, but the USofA can't always be footing the bill for every other countries indifference to their own safety.

Syria doesn't have any oil. Neither does Israel. Neither did the former Yugoslav Republics when we stopped the Serbians from annihilating the Muslims in Kosovo and Bosnia. Sometimes the USG takes positions because it's the right thing to do. So quit being so f'n cynical in believing every thing the U.S. does is out of greedy self interest.

Let the original letter writer campaign and vote 3rd party. Try the Yoko Ono "Give Peace a Chance" party. Maybe you can fly to Damascus and present al Assad with a kitten and a balloon and hold hands and sing Kumbaya.

I associate myself with the comments of MarkRoger at 7:27AM. Why on Earth can't people see this man for who he is? There's not room here to cite the programs, executive orders, code-words he uses, his proclivity to associate himself with the Muslim Nation, and the lies he, and the administration by proxy, tells.
