This is the biggest scam in the history of the State of Ohio. The state sells this as a deal for the residents of a community because they are only paying real estate taxes on their share. However, since this shell game has been played with over two thirds of the public school districts, with a goal of all districts, in the end each district has fully paid for their new school.

Wow -- the state is going to give Mathews such a small amount compared to the amount needed. For some reason Mathews is considered a rich district. Not all people live in Creekside, some of the regular people are having a hard enough time paying their property taxes let alone paying a higher amount to fund the school. Although everyone would love a nice, new building, we'd rather see our children with a better education and I still can't see how this new building will accomplish that. Perhaps Mr. Lowery could donate his salary back to help pay for it. I know there are many people still out of work or working at low-paying jobs that just can't justify this increase, but he seems quite confident that we will come up with that money?

My niece wants to home school her kids. Can she get some matching state tax money to improve her teaching facility?

That will be outgrown in a few short years. Austintown wants to expand the middle school, already. They will be pleading how terrible conditions are in this fairly new school. They have my vote. NO. Enough is enough.
