We're all glad they were rescued. But stating they should be responsible for the costs of the rescue actually has precedents. When people take extraordinary risks and then endanger rescue teams- they should at least pay for the rescue. Remember the ice fishermen on Lake Erie? You can't be reckless and expect others to risk their lives to rescue you. MVA are different because unless you are drinking-which is against the law-you are operating a MV with reasonable caution and not taking "unreasonable risks"...if you do then you are held accountable by the law and insurance companies.

Says the person who loves abortion, how come your not concerned about abortion for convenience hypocrite???Would that not save lives????You do realize universal healthcare does not = free healthcare. And if you think the govt will remove the profit motive i would direct you to the 3 billion they made in interest since they took over student loans. I'm glad I'm not that stupid to believe our governemt.

Yes you are so right about saving human life over money concerns. I'm so glad you are now on board with universal health care. This is probably the greatest example of putting human life over money. Thanks again for your support.

What about the horrible judgement calls some drivers in a mva make that could have been avoided and other stupid judgement domestic calls that also could be avoided. Alot can be avoided and unnecessarily burdens our police and firemen with their time and expense. Does that fall in the same category? of tying up important city resources?

ksmith all of your points are reasonable and true. But, humans can and do make stupid judgment mistakes. Should they have to pay a fine and percentage of city expenses, probably. But all circumstances and justice aside. Money shouldn't be a priority over saving a life. That was my main point. Some people act like they value money of human life. Sick, sick society when we've gotten to this point. Just saying

I know that certain areas in Warren and Levittsburg do flood, but this pic shows knee-high water that any adult could walk through. Why did she need to be towed? Was she incapable? None the less, people need to use their heads before going into a panic and high kudos to all the rescue teams.

Even with Road Closed signs up, people kept driving, some at high speeds, right past the signs. You can't hit that water at 40-50 miles per hour. File that under your "you can't fix stupid" file.

And there were two sections on 422 that are low and filled with a couple feet of water. I would wonder why the one closest to Parkman wasn't manned by police or at least had traffic detoured. The one closest to Warren had a fire truck stationed there with a state patrol car and those personnel were diverting traffic to Fenstermaker to 305 to 422. I was glad to see them and be able to detour.

What a bunch of cold-hearted, selfish mean pricks. I hope to heaven you've never made a mistake that you or your families EVER need assistance for.

Because dstabt they should not have endangered themselves or rescue workers by voluntarily placing them in an unsafe environment. While the saftey resources were tied up with someone who should not have been there those resources were not available for people who might need them such as fires, MV accidents, medical calls. Yes they should and probably will be charged for at least some of the manpower/equipment useage.

very nice to see the mercy of Warren's population through these comments. *NOT* If that was your loved you would be thankful and grateful that they were able to intervene and save them. All your thinking about is money and expense to save a human being. Shame on you!!!

They should be responsible for the cost of the rescue. Sad that these two morons tied up all of this equipment and manpower for hours and hours.
