Your comments about the decline in fundraising due to the Great Bush Recession is correct. You forgot to mention the bad reputation that the United Way has with the American People as a contributing factor. Like those outrageous salaries.

I wouldn't trust United Way past the end of my nose. They lie about where your money goes. Even after specifying where you want your donation to go, it does not always get there.

Garland- Take a chill pill. The majority of the community dislikes United Way. The editorial was a superb representation of the majority.

"It's quite likely that the Tribune felt the economic impact on its circulation and advertising."

Quite right, Garland.

In fact, the incredible shrinking "newspaper" began literally down-sizing PRIOR to the Crash of '08 and subsequent Bush Depression.

Probably has to do with dirtballs like her that just leech off of everyone else.

Of course, that includes the rest of the moonbats.

The Tribune's reporting was unprofessional, at best. Their time would be better spent helping promote Trumbull United Way & the agencies they help. A good start would be to ask Covelli Enterprises to donate to Warren & Trumbull County where he lives, rather than showboating for Ohio State in Mahoning County.

And speaking of the few businesses remaining in Trumbull County who should be supporting UW, how about AVI, a TRUMBULL County goldmine?

United Way is an ugly arm twisting organization. I don't like their tactics, how they choose to distribute funds, and they pay their executives way too much for a charity. My charity donations go direct.
