Didn't Youngstown State just get a 455 Million dollar grant to help facilitate just such high tech jobs?

That's how dumb you are! They got Siemens PLM Software! Do you really think it's worth $455M? It's trumpeted at that value! Like a drug bust when they get a bunch of dope that break it down to street value and all of tge sudden it's worth alot!

There's a common thread here once again: Trumbull ranks high in a few things that go together - besides ranking high in lost wages, lost jobs, and lost opportunities, the fact is Trumbull also ranks high in the union problem, the union mentality, and the failures and corruption of practically exclusive democrat rule for decades now. The results? They speak for themselves and are undisputable. When things change from these problems, maybe things will get better - someday - for our great-grandchildren's children.

antdeb, The congressman is out there doing his job. You might notice some of his accomplishments if you turned off your computer and looked around you a little. By the way do you know the Howlandsnuggler? I just thought you might since your both from Howland and you both hate everyone but yourselves.

I guess your right Howlandsnuggler, The grant giver just had an extra HALF A BILLION DOLLARS that he didn't want and he was out of lighter fluid so he couldn't burn it. No wonder you are still snuggling, you have a very small brain. Why don't you move south of I80 and get yourself one of them plentiful jobs.

LOL...guess we'll be the next Silicon Valley...even though I-80 continues to be the Mason-Dixon line stunting regionalization...and the steel mills are coming back, right?

Hey itsblue, somebody is paying attention to what Tim Ryan is trying to do. Didn't Youngstown State just get a 455 Million dollar grant to help facilitate just such high tech jobs? Private money ,blueboy, not Government money.

Any day now hundreds of thousands of jobs will begin making their way to the Warren area to take advantage of the low wage levels that are prevalent in Trumbull County. Isn't that the song and dance that the Republicans always give us?

CommonSense: Both sides are at fault. Bush helped pass over 10 more "Free Trade agreements" with other countries, mainly in South America. Bush I's republican controlled congress passed NAFTA into law, Clinton signed it. Obama has passed even more "Free Trade" agreements into law. Both parties hate the middle class and are out for their own personal gain. That is fact.

There isn't a chance in*****that they will repeal Bill Clinton's NAFTA. Wages will continue to be lost to higher domocratic taxes and obonehead care. But it is what the area voted for.

1) Repeal all free trade agreements. Only trade freely with like-minded countries.

2) GetMeOutOfHere: Not just foreign cars... foreign everything. I buy American when possible, even when I have to pay more. I did have to lease a Toyota because of GM's absurdness requiring an 800 credit score to get their good lease pricing. My 4 previous leases and a 797 credit score wasn't good enough to override that stupid requirement. Kia is the most American car these days.

You can thank all of the "IDIOTS" that have been driving foreign imports. If people would have bought "AMERICAN MADE CARS" we would still have jobs in AMERICA.

Trumbull County has the worst wage scale in the USA. When Manufacturing company's are paying only minimum wage while profits are sky rocketing. And staffing agencies are everywhere taking income you are working so hard to get is just plan crazy. Its really just stupid. Companies wonder why they can not find good help. They need to open their eyes. Our kids are moving away and I have to say I think I will soon follow them. Its ugly here and I think the low wage jobs are bringing in the gangs and drugs. This area no longer is a place with a future. You have the rich bosses and the poor workers.

Question to Mr. Brown: Doesn't the Federal Reserve "manipulate currency" when it creates money out of thin air by printing billions of five, ten, twenty and hundred dollar bills each year?

Government created inflation is stealing our savings, making our wages uncompetitive, and lowering our standard of living, and Sherrod Brown has the nerve to scapegoat the Chinese and other importers for the ongoing economic mess under Obama and helicopter Ben.

NAFTA. Foreign companies set up shop in eligible countries, such as Canada and Mexico, then imported without tariffs. American companies followed suit to be able to compete and people in the area were affected the most.
