Didn't a certain former Warren Building Inspector get sentenced to prison because he was caught playing footsies with at least one of these so-called non-profits?

Using taxpayers money to get rich, that sounds way too familiar. Iannucci was just trying to milk the cow dry, before this all came out. Maybe he did some last minute milking of taxpayers money, that's why he said things are starting to turn around. Maybe he just waiting for the check to arrive from some gov't agency. Sheriff's tax sales should be posted on all these property immediately. Wait that would only make one of his buddy's rich. Maybe they should be put in the land bank that they are always talking about. Have them appraised and turn them over to the land bank. Then bill Iannucci for any monies still owed after the appraisals. Either way the property's should be confiscated immediately.

What bothers me is, if you don't pay your property taxes 2x in a row the Trumbull County Auditor sends you a notice about delinquent taxes . That they are going to sell your property For the property taxes owed the county, if not paid immediately. Question is how did this scum bag get away with owing all this a no tax sale ever happened. Do you think it might be that he is one of the few good ole boys and the Warren Director. Something sure don't smell right here, in fact it stinks. Guess it boils down too, who you know. The County Auditor needs to be replaced for one thing, for failing to do his duties. There is just no good reason or excuse for this happening.

There is a non-profit in Warren that's so honest, the director will offer you an annual report out of his car window. It is expected and should be demanded that ALL non-profits and ALL private companies operating on ANY type of government funding be just as transparent.

Funny, nomore. The question of who works for sunshine, at what pay rate, for how many hours a week and by what means do they get paid (from HUD grants or rent) were questions that I thought were going to be asked.

nMcLone.... I think ChinChin only came out of the woodwork to make a passive aggressive attack on me for daring to suggest that perhaps council did not ask the questions that they should have.

For the sake of transparency I'd like to know the salaries of everyone who works for Sunshine Inc, what they do and exactly how much of these "administrative fee's" did HUD pay into their coffers.

Sunshine is a private entity and does not need to reveal anything to the peanut gallery of people jealous that they are not in local government in some capacity.

Outside of the fringe council members, the rest seemed quite happy with the way this organization is handling things. Let's move on.

Sunshine should be producing and making public it's financial records across the last 3 years, at least. As a non-profit that uses public dollars that shouldn't even be a question. A city that doesn't demand that of it's non-profit contractors is foolish. Or just willing to look foolish.

Iannucci said the agency got to serious property tax problem because of cash flow problems created by losing administrative fees that that were formerly supplied by HUD.

So your saying that you paid yourself before the obligations of the business. What rediculous salary did you give yourself Mr. Iannucci?

Once again, go along to get along... Even with public opinion and the press on their side they still failed.

Failures.

Well, ChinChin, I'm not an elected member of Warren City Government. I'm not the councilperson. It IS NOT NOT JOB to look out for the taxpayers and citizens of Warren.

In fact, I did my job behind the scenes and these duly elected representatives of the citizens of Warren once again let these people skate.

I wasn't sitting at that table with a file in front of me with questions, documents and citations that I ignored and did not follow through on.

Any Council person or any other person on Warren's payroll that does not want that Directoe fired immediately should lose THEIR jobs. This is sick. Council, do your job and change management of Sunshine immediately. And whatever you do get a professional manager from outside the area to replace that thing now running it.

"...created Sunshine in 1993 using federal HOME grants...obtained money from the city and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development...the nonprofit continues to draw government funds."

Does anyone expect anything other than waste and irresponsibility when it's "other people's money"?
