I'm sick of the term African anything when speaking about Americans with dark skin. I don't hear whites needing to be European anything. Let it go we're black, they're white and that's it. We've been here too long to keep holding this African heritage claim for the sake of political correctness.

As for affirmative action, if you're convinced whites are no longer using race to determine eligibility for loans, grants, College admission or jobs then yes let's drop it. I'm not so sure every aspect of American life is equal for blacks. We've made great progress but BET, rap music and droopy pants has set us back considerably. Since whites seem to judge the rest of according to thug culture behaviors...

Thomas and his wife cheated on their income taxes a few years back and got caught. He "forgot" about his wife's income. LOL

I was convinced at the time that President G.H.W.Bush appointed Clarence Thomas, that he did so KNOWING that Thomas would be voted down by the United States Senate. He appointed Justice Thomas to attempt to drive a wedge between the Democrats in the Senate and the African American community. Remember he picked Thomas to replace Thurgood Marshall only AFTER his first choice had been voted down by the Democrats. To suggest that Thomas was the best qualified person for Supreme Court is ridiculous. NOTHING Justice Thomas has done, since his elevation to the nations highest court, has changed my mind in the slightest.

Why are we still talking about this non issue? It's going to happen and there is nothing you can do about it. Lets move on and get it off our plates, focusing on real issues. Ugh!

Hogwash. Don't bring being black into the politics of marriage. Justice Thomas is one of the worst justices ever black or white. You could put a cutout in his place at the supreme court case hearings because you know how he is going to vote. His wife is one of the biggest NeoCon Conservative lobbyists in DC. Talk about a conflict of interest.
