Iraq war was a waste of money

April 3, 2013

“I'm entitled to my opinion long before you were born.”

Now it makes sense, your too old stupid stubborn and senile to understand what I’m talking about.

Yes Kuwait, that’s the country we assembled our forces in before we invaded Iraq. Try to look at a current map, if you can’t find one go ask you imaginary neighbor.

I’m a fool? I was there in the beginning; my unit was one of the first ones to cross the border of Iraq and Kuwait. I went back 3 other times and I will say they were not as hospitable as they were the first time but still the majority wanted us there.

Again if you were never there shut your mouth, you have no first hand experience just some BS that you neighbor told you.

Children have been used as pawns in the game of war since the beginning of time. They are innocent and do what they are told, they just what to pleas the person who they look up to the most.

“the majority of people tried to kill him”

First if the majority tried to kill him he would be dead if he ever went outside the FOB, second if you don’t have first hand experience keep your mouth shut!

“rebuild a country that didn't want us there in the first place”

Were you there Bud?

When I was there the overwhelming majority of the people were happy to see us.

But of course small minded people like you only believe the bad stuff you see on the news, not all the good things we do that never gets reported.

Just do what your told and shut up about it. All you all do is argue.

The govt does not care about your opinions. They care about stealing other countries resources with bombs so they can get rich. Our empire is one of the cruelest ever.

You people do not have a say in any of these wars. You are going to have to find a way to deal with it. We are the United States of America. We bomb and kill people in poor countries.

You all have oil because of it, so you really don't care your country is a preemptive bully now.

Please, go watch your TV and ignore it.

Also, wait until he sees the final price tag...

"A new study by a researcher at Harvard says that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will cost U.S. taxpayers approximately $4 trillion to $6 trillion.

While the wars have cost approximately $2 trillion thus far, the study by Professor Linda J. Bilmes found that medical care for injured veterans and the replacement of the equipment used in the wars will drive the cost higher in the years to come."

If he thinks $60,000,000 is a waste of money, what will he think when he finds out the war cost was much greater? ($800 billion and counting for Iraq, $600 billion and counting for Afghanistan)

Just imagine how many banks we could have bailed out with that money?

Viet Nam should have taught the Congress of the United States NOT to grant the President the right to use troops in an undeclared war.
